Tim Mangan

President of Virtualization Boston.  Tim Mangan is the Founder of TMurgent Technologies LLP. Prior to launching TMurgent, Tim was with many software and/or hardware companies including Softricity, Sync Research, Tylink, Avanti Communications, Memotec, Teleglobe, Infinet, and ComputerVision.  Somewhere in between he also did consulting work for the WAN side of a major US bank.  At one point he was the President of the Frame Relay Forum, an international consurtium of Communication Carriers, Vendors, and Users. Tim speaks at many conferences and has been awarded by Microsoft as a "Most Valuable Professional for Terminal Services" in 2007 and MVP for Application Virtualization in 2008.

Virtualiztion Boston Board Member, and former President.  Dan joined Microsoft as an IT Pro Evangelist in 2008.  Prior to that, Dan was Owner and President of Bay State Integrated Technology, Inc., A technology consulting and hosting firm based out of Lakeville, MA. Dan still owns the company but has others take care of day to day tasks within the company.  Dan also holds important positions as a volunteer leader for the Boston User Groups, Boston Area Windows Server User Group, and others. 

Dan is a highly motivated and dedicated self-starter with over 20 years (1984) experience in the technology industry.  He holds many certifications including MCITP, MCT, MCSE as well as Technical Specialist certs in many technologies (Windows, Exchange, Etc.).  Dan loves to help people.  He is passionate about teaching and is in the process of writing his first book.

Lee Benjamin

 

With over 20 years experience in the messaging industry, Lee Benjamin is an expert on Microsoft Exchange and related technologies. Since retiring from Microsoft in 1997, he has been a highly sought after consultant for enterprise and medium-sized organizations and software firms. He currently specializes in architecture, migration and upgrade advice, and product strategy/positioning for ISV's. He also evaluates and does product testing and training.

Lee is chairman of the largest Exchange user group in the world ExchangeServerBoston, and actively engaged with other groups and organizations including Culminis, BostonUserGroups, WindowsBoston, and Virtg. For his involvement with the IT professional user group community, he is recognized as a Most Valuable Professional by Microsoft.
 
Lee is a regular speaker at industry conferences such as TechEd, Exchange Connections, TechTarget Seminars, and online webinars on topics such as data protection, compliance and eDiscovery, messaging security, mobile access, and unified communications.

 Dave Vantine

Dave Vantine has over 25 years in the computer industry. He owned and was President of Vantine Business System from 1983 – 1997 and is currently the IT manager for Creative Computing in Lincoln RI. Creative Computing is an IBM-Cognos and Microsoft partner, and a leading provider of consulting services for data integration, reporting and analytics. The company also provides IT consulting, integration and support services for small businesses which is one of Dave’s main responsibilities. He is a Certified Small Business Specialist and recently obtained his CISSP.

Al Mullin

Alvin has worked for a financial services company for the past eight years.  Today he focuses on designing, implementing, supporting, and migrating applications to virtual systems.  Al works with multiple virtualization products from different vendors.  Previously he was an Enterprise Integration Specialist with the former GE Capital IT Solutions. 

Depending on the time of year, you will sometimes find him golfing, motorcycling, or skiing.  Al is also a board member of Boston Area Windows Server User Group.

Partner of Bluefin Technical Services. Tool and Manufaturing Engineer.  Specializing in compression and transfer Mold Systems, Power Press Systems, robotic automation and material handling work cells, automatic assembly equipment, and custom tools. 

Bluefin Technical Services are Microsoft System Builders, Networks and Core infrastructure. John is a board member of Boston User Groups, and of Boston Area Windows Server User Group.

Senior Partner of Bluefin Technical Services. Designers of manufacturing equipment, robotic automation work cells, and of systems for High Current Aerospace Power connectors. 

Bluefin Technical Services are Microsoft System Builders, Networks and Core infrastructure. Ron is a board member of Boston User Groups, and of Boston Area Windows Server User Group.

 

Harvey Yee

Harvey Yee was first introduced to Virtualization on an IBM 360 mainframe where he started his IT career as an IBM 360 assembler programmer.   He is currently working as a consultant  for Software Pathology in the area of SQA and system performance.  You can often finding him at various Bar Camps and other Boston User Group meetings  discussing a variety of topics that excite his curiosity from F# to Fedora.
