Keynote  "The Current State of the Desktop Virtualization Market"

The Keynote for the event will be delivered by Brian Madden, world famous blogger and speaker on Desktop and Application Virtualization. 

In "The Current State of the Desktop Virtualization Market", Brian will take us beyond the hype and speak about what real enterprises are actually doing.  In his role as a professional blogger (Really?  You can make money doing that?) for the self named BrianMadden.Com, a Tech Target Company, Brian travels the world speaking with both leading edge vendors and with companies that are implementing these technologies.   With all of the choices on how to provision desktops and applications, what are people doing and why?  Brian talks about these questions, but not just from an IT perspective, also from the view of end users.  

Brian Madden Independent Industry Analyst and Blogger.  He is known throughout the world as an opinionated, super technical, fiercely independent desktop virtualization expert.

He's also written several books and thousands of articles about desktop and application virtualization. His blog site, www.BrianMadden.com, receives millions of visitors per year and is a leading source for conversation, debate and discourse about the application and desktop virtualization industry. He also recently launched ConsumerizeIT.com to address the emerging trend around the consumerization of IT.

Our fourth annual deep dive into all things virtual.  We bring together speakers from all around the industry to give VERY deep talks about all forms of virtualization.  We cover server, desktop, application, presentation, and storage virtualization, "the cloud", and more. This is technical talk, not "marketecture". This is an all day event with multiple tracks.  Understanding that some are new to virtualization, we will have some "hit the ground running" sessions to get you started.  So whether you are a newbee or an experienced virtualization guru, we will have content that is to your liking.  There is so munch content in fact that, like last year, and the year before that, we will be recording most sessions and making them available to attendees so you do not miss any of the action.  Attend the sessions that you feel you will have the most questions on and get your questions answered.  Then after the event, go back and review the sessions you attended and/or hit the other sessions that you missed through our website.

Vendors, speakers and other virtualization geeks will be onhand to make sure you have an opportunity to get answers to the really tough questions. Who knows you just maybe pick up a bit of swag while you are here.  Speaking of swag... For those that attended prior years, you probably recall the line of tables that was completely full of great stuff.  We had so much swag that every attendee went home with something.  Do you think we can do it again? The Lantana is located at the end of Scanlon Drive in Randolph, MA.

We have moved the event again this year to a much larger, and comfortable site. The Lantana is a professionaly run meeting site than we have used in the past. The rooms will be larger this year and have much better accoustics. You won't have to strain to hear the speaker in your room due to the speaker in an adjacent room. Plus, this year we will have a separate sponsor hall for you to visit with the sponsoring companies. No more crowding in the back of the room. We will have a large central meeting room capable of holding 300 people, plus three additional breakout rooms allowing us to have four concurrent tracks.  We'll video the ones you miss for download after the event.
