DescriptionLong
A compilation of practical scripts used to ease administration of Hyper-V. One major reason for the increased adoption rate of Hyper-V within organizations is the scripting capabilities. In this session, Rob will demonstrate creating customized PowerShell scripts for troubleshooting and automating in your Hyper-V and SCVMM environments.
Below is a sampling of scripts from his admin toolbox which may be shown:
Setting properties in Mass
Integration Services installs
Finding VMs with Snapshots
Finding VMs with Unmerged VHD files
Finding VMs with ISOs mounted (and dismounting)
Live Migration (based on host, volume, various other attributes)
Get-VM name from VM ID
Getting Integration Components version of VMs on a particular host or by various VM attributes
Finding misconfigured VMs with Emulated network cards
Setting Active Directory Users and Groups as VM Owners (SCVMM)
Finding VM from MAC address (Identifies MAC Address conflicts that sometimes happens with VMs)
